When your trial ends

What happens on day 15, and what to decide before it.

Your 14 days start when you pick a plan during onboarding. The exact date is on Shop → Billing as Trial ends.

On the last day

Stripe charges the card you gave at signup, for the plan you chose, and the subscription becomes Active. Nothing in the app changes — you were already using every feature.

No email asks you to confirm, and there is no second checkout. The trial simply becomes a subscription.

If you do nothing

You are charged. That is what a card at signup means, and the app says so at signup for exactly this reason.

If you do not want to continue, cancel before the trial ends from Manage billing in the Stripe portal. Cancelling during the trial costs nothing — no charge is ever made.

If the charge fails

The subscription goes Past due, a banner appears, and you keep full access for 7 days while Stripe retries. Update the card in the portal and it clears itself.

After 7 days without a successful payment, access stops. See Managing your subscription.

The most common cause is a card that expired between signing up and day 14. Worth a glance at the billing page in the second week.

What to decide before day 14

Which plan. If you added staff during the trial, you are on Barbershop, and downgrading to Studio deactivates them. If you are working alone, Studio is $20 a month cheaper for the same core product. See Plans and pricing.

Whether it earned its place. Two honest questions:

  • Did anybody book through your public link? That is the part that works while you are cutting.
  • Is the dashboard showing numbers you recognise? If revenue looks too low, it is usually tickets left unclosed rather than a slow fortnight — check Jobs for visits still at Checked in.

If you let it lapse and come back

Nothing is deleted when a subscription ends. Your visits, customers, services, staff, hours and history stay as they were.

Subscribe again from the paywall or the portal and everything is there, including your booking link — the same URL, still on the cards you handed out.

Staff deactivated by a downgrade are reactivated when you upgrade again. Anyone you deactivated by hand stays deactivated.
