Studio is not a trimmed-down product. Everything a one-barber shop needs is in it. What Barbershop adds is specifically the things that only mean something with a team.
Plans are billed in US dollars regardless of the currency your shop uses. Your services, tickets and dashboard stay in your own currency — only the subscription is USD.
The free trial
Both plans start with 14 days free, with full access.
A card is required to start the trial, nothing is charged for 14 days, and you can cancel any time before it ends at no cost. Payment is handled by Stripe; BarberNexa never sees your card number.

What the four Barbershop features actually do
Staff accounts with roles. Each person signs in as themselves, with their own permissions. See Roles and what each one can do.
Per-barber services and schedules. Each barber can be restricted to the services they perform and the hours they work, so your booking page only offers times somebody can really take.
Per-barber performance. Visits and revenue broken down by barber on the dashboard.
Choose-your-barber booking. Customers pick a specific barber — with their photo — or leave it to whoever is free. It appears once you have at least two bookable barbers.
Upgrading
Shop → Billing → Change plan (owners), or the Upgrade button on the Staff page. The switch applies straight away: staff, per-barber scheduling and the barber picker are available as soon as you are back from Stripe.
Anyone who was deactivated by a previous downgrade is reactivated automatically. Anyone you deactivated by hand stays deactivated.
Downgrading
Also Shop → Billing → Change plan. Before sending you to Stripe, BarberNexa tells you what it will mean for your team — on what date, and how many people.
A downgrade takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, not the moment you confirm it. Until then nothing changes, and both the billing page and the dashboard show "Your plan changes to Studio on …". Changed your mind? Open Manage billing before that date and cancel the scheduled change.
On that date, every non-owner member is deactivated. They lose access, and your booking page drops to one bookable person.
Nothing is deleted. Their past visits, their names on those tickets, and your history are all untouched — and upgrading again brings them back. But between the downgrade and the upgrade, your team cannot sign in.
Check the calendar before downgrading. Appointments assigned to a barber who is about to be deactivated stay on the calendar, but that barber is no longer bookable capacity — which changes what your booking page offers for the days involved.
Changing plans mid-month
Upgrades are prorated by Stripe: you are credited for the unused part of Studio and charged for the rest of the month on Barbershop, so upgrading mid-cycle does not cost you a month. Downgrades need no proration — they wait for the end of the period you paid for. During the free trial nothing is charged either way.
